Catalyzing Communities of Reconciliation
An Arrabon experiential learning trip guides communities into spaces of disintegration to hold a trauma-informed space framed by our workshop, “Foundation of a Reconciling Community.” The work of racial healing and reconciliation is often impacted by fear, anger, shame, and grief. During this experience, participants process these complex emotions in order to gain confidence in their ability to engage their communities as ambassadors of reconciliation.
What to expect:
- Integration of spiritual formation and experiential learning related to race, class, and culture
- Interactive engagement alongside others in your community
- Guided facilitation through our Foundations of a Reconciling Community workshop exploring the complicated emotions of fear, anger, shame, and grief
- Guided morning sessions followed by afternoons journeying through various experiences
- Access to an app-based Spiritual Formation guide that creates space for prayer, meditation, reflection and spiritual transformation
- Integration of both the theology and sociology that has informed our shared history around race in America.
